Grant was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on July 14, 2011, just 10 days after his fourth birthday. Since that time he has been undergoing weekly Chemotherapy and monthly Spinal Taps at the Golisano Children’s Hospital in Syracuse. He will be undergoing intense Chemotherapy for the next two months. From that point on, he will have monthly Chemo treatments at the hospital as well as Oral Chemotherapy pills at home, until September 2014. The treatments up until this point have, at times, been very difficult for Grant but he has been very brave and is a real fighter. He calls himself the "Leukemia Fire Fighter!"
